Have you ever experienced that one action or decision that changes everything?

In 2017, during one of the darkest times of my life…. while working in my Akashic Records, I was clearly guided with these words: “You need to tell your story.”

It came seemingly out of nowhere, but the message I was getting was clear…. a one-woman show.

I needed to create a one-woman show, and share my healing journey.

And I needed to do it, not “someday,” but right now.

Frankly, the idea was beyond ludicrous.

I was in the midst of desperately trying to heal my body and mind after coming off long-term antidepressant meds, and was experiencing extreme, bizarre withdrawal symptoms while trying to stabilize my mental and physical health.

My energy was in pieces, my nervous system on fire, a hair-trigger away from activation in every moment, and the tiniest stressors sent me into massive dysregulation — I felt like I was dodging landmines to get through a day, an hour. And I’d been stuck in this surreal state for over a year.

The idea of doing something vulnerable, public, requiring enormous amounts of energy, and sharing heartfelt stuff was almost laughable (if I could have laughed).

That “instruction” would never have come from my mind… it was way too far out there

too radical

too impossible.

…. and, it was perfect.

Along with being impossible… something about it was also too bulls-eye right for me to deny or ignore.

… and so, I set out to do the impossible thing, in whatever form or shape I could manage to make it happen.

In between dodging electric shocks in my brain and surges of terror pouring through me, I wrote, created, memorized, and rehearsed a one-woman show, telling the journey of my mental and physical healing up till that point, and sharing things I’d never said out loud before.

Held in some strange certainty that made each next step crystal clear, I called in six women friends who’d supported me through this time, and invited them to witness my creation.

I transformed my 500 square foot bodywork studio into a stage, and created a performance that – in theatre’s original roots – was more of a ritual and offering to something much larger than myself… as I showed up, beyond fear and simply present, to step into the experience I’d created, a shared journey into the depths (that was also the way through).

Doing the Impossible

From the state I was in at the time, this “impossible” feat was one of the most courageous and powerful things I’ve ever done (and remains to this day one of the things I’m most proud of myself for 💜 )

And, while it would take many more months for my body and mind to fully heal… this heartfelt undertaking would completely change the game.

Because it took the hidden into the light, and revealed the shadows in a way that was safe and supported. And because it required me to draw on my own creative power, which would ultimately be so key to my full healing.

And, the instructions to do it didn’t come from my own mind. I never would have come up with this.

Working in the Akashic Records

Contemporary scientist and philosopher Ervin Laszlo describes an “interconnecting cosmic field” that holds the imprints of all reality — a field known as the “Akashic Records.” (References to the Records are also found throughout many spiritual traditions, going back centuries). Today, modern science may be aligning with the mystics.💜

While everyone’s experience of working in the Records is unique, accessing this energetic field is available to anyone, and is as close as breathing. It requires focused intention, a deep meditative state, and questions that are formed in a way which allows clear insight to come through.

Working in the Akashic Records, we can access a different level and quality of information and knowing that’s outside our mind’s typical patterns and “stuck” spots. Working in the Records brings us into a healing state of love and grace, where a larger dimension of insight and meaning is held.

(The Records won’t always point you towards an “impossible” thing, btw).

Much more often, in my experience, it’s the seemingly “small” steps that we’re guided in, to truly move the needle on the healing, clarity, and the alignment that we seek.

but unfailingly, working with the Records brings clarity. A shift outside of the ego and the chatter of the mind, and into the truth that’s too undeniable not to recognize.

(And, when it’s needed, the Records may bring you that one step…………….. the key in the lock that changes everything).
